Dr. Michael Owiso

With over 17 years in the humanitarian sector, Michael has contributed significantly to peacebuilding and worked closely with displacement-affected communities in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. He holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, an MA in International Relations from the United States International University-Africa, and a PhD in Political Science from Aalborg University.
His research focuses on migration, conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and transformative leadership in Africa. Michael has conducted extensive consultancies and trainings on conflict analysis, policy advocacy, and various other fields.
